The Milwaukee Bar Association is dedicated to serving the professional needs of lawyers in and around Milwaukee. We provide a wide variety of benefits to help attorneys improve their bottom line and increase their connection with and participation in the profession and the community. Convenient, Low-Cost CLE Programming
The MBA specializes in high-quality programs featuring expert speakers. Our 1-hour lunchtime programs get you back to the office before the messages start piling-up. And at $20/credit, the MBA is the best CLE value in the state. The majority of our CLE is webcast and available for viewing live on-line. New to the MBA this year is CLE Calendar which allows any attorney to pre-recorded CLE Programming 24/7.
Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS)
Looking for more business? In 2006, the LRIS made 8,000 referrals to MBA member attorneys who participated in the program and those referrals generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees. Come claim your share. Click here for an application.
Committee and Section Membership
We invite you to pursue one of the MBA's most valuable benefits: free membership in an MBA Committee or Section. The MBA's 26 Committees and 19 substantive law Sections provide members with an excellent vehicle for networking with colleagues and furthering the profession.
Westlaw Legal Ed Center and Westlaw Wednesdays
For our members we provide and Office away from the Firm. The Westlaw Legal Education Center is open everyday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and provides members with Complimentary Westlaw Access.
We also conduct FREE Westlaw Training on Westlaw Wednesdays. Attendees receive research assistance and training plus a free pre-approved 1.0 CLE credit and free noon luncheons. Sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month. See the CLE Calendar for monthly topics of interest.
Meeting Facilities
The MBA's meeting facilities are open and available to members. Whether you need a neutral location for conducting negotiations, or a large space for a 90-attendee seminar, the MBA has what you are looking for. Catering can also be arranged. For rental information click here.
